Are too many skincare products breaking you out?

As someone who has struggled with acne for a long time, trust me when I say this, but no matter how much one says that accept yourself the way you are and be confident and blah blah. But, it takes a huge toll on one’s mental health. Running every morning to the mirror just to see if it has improved or degraded was a constant part of the day.

In recent years, the skincare products market has experienced significant growth. The evolution of the online content creation in this niche has introduced millions of people to the world of skincare. Me being one of those. Every time I bought a new product after seeing it online and spending my monthly savings on it, I would become obsessed with it like mad. It helped me to some extent, though, but some products made my condition even worse.

Also, one thing which needs high attention is that your diet has 90 percent of the role in what happens to your skin, so, make sure to read the whole blog and share it with your friends.

1. Less = More

One thing that I realized over time, is that more products are not equal to better skin. You can be using a cleanser, toner, serum, moisturizer, or eye cream and your skin may still not look radiant. While you can be using just a cleanser and a moisturizer, your skin will be GLOWING. It’s all about understanding what your skin wants.
In my case, I use a cleanser only once every 3–4 days, moisturize daily, wear SPF daily, use serums only 1–2 a week, and my skin has been thanking me.

2. Hydration = Happy and Healthy skin

Hydration is the KEY. When we talk about acne scars or pigmentation, they fade over time or even if there are some, it doesn’t matter. For that, one can use serums like niacinamide and Vitamin C (I know there are many others but I have used only these, so can’t say anything about others). But if your skin is hydrated, it will BE PLUMP AND GLOWY. And to serve that purpose, here are three things that you must include in your regime-
1. Apply moisturizer to damp skin
2. Apply hyaluronic acid-based serums/ moisturizers or both every night
3. Drink lukewarm water in the morning, and at least 8 glasses of water every day.

3. Diet= The Hidden Skin Essence

Your diet plays a gigantic role in what your skin looks like. Here are some tips that helped 90 percent of my skin recovery-
1. Drink juices such as beetroot, carrot, cucumber.
2. Consume fibre/salads, such as cucumber, beetroot, carrot, reddish, and Armenian cucumber.
3. Consume half a tablespoon of cow ghee and turmeric in half a cup of warm milk every night (depending on what your body needs, if it suits you then continue otherwise discontinue asap).
4. Get a grip on your sugar intake, avoid packaged juices, sweetened chocolates, packaged chips, and cookies. (Though you can have a cheat meal once every 2 weeks)
5. Consume at least one fruit daily- be it orange, apple, grapes, papaya, watermelon, banana, strawberry, or anything.
6. Replace refined sugar with jaggery or khand.

Trust me when I say this, just for 2 weeks, follow this routine for your skin, and you’ll watch your skin transform right before your eyes. If it works, mention your experience in the comments, and share this with your friends too.
